Experiences
Art, music and people in the courtyard.
Murals, music shoots, workshops and markets: Yarumo’s courtyard is made for creating. Here’s what has already happened — and what you can ask about for your stay.

01Art in the courtyard
Art lives here.
On a courtyard wall, Van Gogh sips a coffee under his starry night. Tap the dots for a closer look.

1 The signature
Top left: “@German Murat”. The mural was painted right here in the courtyard in early 2024.
2 The cup
Van Gogh holding a cup of coffee — hard to think of a better patron saint for a hostel-café.
3 The stars
Straight out of “The Starry Night”, made of rings of brushstrokes — the source of this site’s gold ornament.
4 The bench
There’s a wooden bench right below: sit down and you’re in the painting.
5 The door
Beside it, a dark wooden door like those of La Candelaria’s old houses.

Maré’s “Otra Vida”, with the courtyard as backdrop
Singer Maré released “Otra Vida” on 18 September 2026, and some of its photos and clips were shot in Yarumo’s courtyard, between the fountain, the tree and the murals.

A portrait workshop with Es/Cultura
On 3 May 2026 the @es_cultura04 collective held its “Photofilm” portrait-photography workshop at Café Yarumo, with exercises around the courtyard, the colourful doorways and the streets nearby.

The house’s first artisan market
In June 2024 the courtyard filled with local makers, handmade goods and music for Yarumo’s first artisan market.

A Van Gogh with a coffee in hand
In early 2024 the courtyard got its mural of Van Gogh with his cup, under a “Starry Night” sky. It is signed “@German Murat”.

Acoustic sessions at the house
Long before reels, back in 2018, the house was already recording music in its corners: handpan on the stone steps, classical guitar in the lounge, voices with small string instruments.
